Patterns Vibe is a webinar intended for those who attended the Grasshopper Introduction webinar or for students and professionals with basic experience in Rhino and Grasshopper. The course focuses on the aesthetic of guided complexity and will cover topics such as meshes, SubD, tridimensional patterns, fading patterns, particle-spring simulation.

Grasshopper organizes data according to a tree structure where every branch and every branch-content have an index number. Selecting specific items and matching data streams is problematic if you don’t deeply understand how this structure works. The webinar covers the logic of Grasshopper’s Data Tree through clear schemes and specific examples (e.g. Herzog & De Meuron Messe Basel facade). 

Dynamic Remeshing allows users to generate astonishing design by blending together simple geometries. The webinar covers the logic of Dynamic Remeshing in Rhino-Grasshopper using external plugins as Mesh Machine (Kangaroo). The contents are intended for users with basic knowledge of Grasshopper.

The course focuses on the use of Millipede and Galapagos for FEM analysis and optimization. Main topics: FEM Workflow in Grasshopper-Millipede, analysis of beams, frames and shells. Analysis of deformation and stress. Output interpretation, structural optimization using Galapagos (evolutionary and annealing solver). FormFinding strategies, thickness optimization, Topostruct 2D and 3D, topology optimization
